Samsung Galaxy S8 Vlog – a vlogger’s delight?

Samsung Galaxy S8 Vlog

The best phone for Vlogging is a combination of solid 4K video and good sound/audio capability.

In the mid 2020 I’d give the Samsung Galaxy S8 a 6,5 out of 10 for Vlogging. Video quality of the main camera in 4K is very good with rich colors and good dynamic range. Samsung always delivers some of the best quality of cameras on it’s top range phones, being good at contrast compensating and also some of the most color accurate. Unfortunately stabilisation on the back camera in 4K is a bit old-fashioned and wobbly to be honest. And the stabilization of the front camera is so poor, I’d say it’s absent.

The audio quality of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is very good, and definitely good enough if you know how to do some post audio-editing. But audio just maybe a tad better on the Samsung S9, Huawei P30 and Asus Zenfone 6 out of the box.

If you can get it for under $200 I can recommend this phone for Vlogging. Especially the Plus version where you get a lot of screen area to monitor what you’re recording. I think it’s a good beginner-vlogger phone here in 2020.

Hope you enjoy – Vloggers Delight.
